BYLAWS TASK FORCE reviews the OABR Bylaws for necessary changes to remain compliant with the National Association of REALTORS®. Appointed by the OABR President.
DIVERSITY promotes equal opportunity in housing and diversity within the real estate industry; examines cultural diversity and minority issues in the Omaha area; promotes OABR activities to heighten the awareness of diversity within the real estate profession; identifies the equal opportunity and cultural diversity concerns and needs of OABR members and makes recommendations to the OABR Board of Directors regarding those concerns and needs. FORMS TASK FORCE creates new and reviews existing OABR and MLS forms as a member service.
ISSUES MOBILIZATION works to oppose or support issues which impact real property in the Omaha Area. Accepts contributions. Supports grassroots lobbying and educational efforts related to key issues. Issues Mobilization funds are not used to support of candidates. Decisions are consistent with the strategic plan and policies of the Omaha Area Board of REALTORS.
MLS USERS GROUP monitors and makes recommendations to the Great Plains REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service Board of Directors regarding the use and functionality of the MLS System.
OABR NOMINATING TASK FORCE selects one or more candidates for each OABR office (except President) and one or more candidates for each position to be filled on the OABR Board of Directors. Meets at least four months before the annual OABR election. Task Force consists of seven REALTOR® members appointed by the President-Elect and approved by of the Board of Directors. Members include the President-Elect as Chair, the current President, two Past Presidents, one member of the Board of Directors and two members-at-large.
RPAC FUND RAISING TASK FORCE coordinates local efforts to raise funds for the Nebraska REALTORS® Political Action Committee.
